Your personal attributes

  • An interest and knowledge in commercial property: you will have an interest in property markets, along with broader macroeconomic and social trends.
  • Analytical: you will draw on excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also have an eye for detail.
  • Self-motivated: you will work independently from an early stage, requiring self-motivation and excellent organisation skills.
  • Computing skills: you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A knowledge of database and mapping packages is also desirable.
  • Well-rounded: you will be degree educated with a strong academic record.

Asia-Pacific Research Analysts

We are seeking to recruit two to three individuals for our Asia-Pacific team, focusing on the Australian and Mainland China property markets. The role specifications are as follows:

Position: Senior Research Analyst/Associate, Australia

  • Researching, analysing, developing, reporting and presenting PMA’s Australian focused commercial property views and forecasts as part of our APAC service;
  • Undertaking primary and secondary research, including visiting relevant cities, and developing local contacts;
  • Providing direct research enquiry support to our clients on an ad hoc basis;
  • Helping to develop additional Australian services;
  • 4+ years experience of researching the Australian property market is required.

Position: Research Analyst, Australia

  • Providing research support on the Australian commercial (office, retail & logistics) property markets;
  • Undertaking primary and secondary research through visiting cities and meeting local contacts;
  • Providing direct research enquiry support to our clients on an ad hoc basis;
  • Providing direct support to the Associates and Partners and Team managing this country research;
  • Some experience (1-2+ years) is preferred but not essential.

Position: Research Analyst, Mainland China focus

  • Providing research support on the Mainland China and wider-APAC commercial (office, retail & logistics) property markets;
  • Undertaking primary and secondary research through visiting cities and meeting local contacts;
  • Providing direct research enquiry support to our clients on an ad hoc basis;
  • Providing direct support to the Associates and Partners managing Chinese country research;
  • Some experience (1-2+ years) of working within a western business environment is preferred;
  • Fluent Mandarin & English is essential.
